Back to normality....
.........or boringness. Hang on a minute, I'm loving being bored right now.
And here is the reason why.......
After I came home from my near death experience I rang the boss and she mentioned that I was going back to the POD in two days time. Bugger, I still would have had adrenalin deficiency, cos I had used it all up in the last couple of days. However, the good news for me is..........a contract has fallen thru and I get to stay home for a couple of weeks. Yehar!
I'm pretty damn happy about that, considering I was only home for three days in February.
But wait, there's more.
After my two weeks of laziness, I get to go to Singapore for one or two weeks of training.
It's not written in stone yet, but I'm giving myself the luxury of looking forward to it.
So, what have I done in the last couple of days..........
Went to a fringe festival comedy event last night. Pretty good, I managed to score some free tickets from a radio station yesterday afternoon. Had lunch at the beach with my mummy, took the dog for a walk, bought a loaf of bread from the supermarket, and some fresh milk.
Now bread and milk is definitely not exciting to everyone. To me it means that I will be home long enough to consume it before it goes off. If I know I'm going away, I don't bother buying it anymore. I'm still traumatised by the last carton of chunky milk I disposed of down the toilet. Green furry bread doesn't really do it for me these days either.
Hmmnnnn what else? Saw "Mrs Henderson Presents". I enjoyed it. Saw a morning session with a coachload of old biddies. Now they really enjoyed it. I think I missed some of the jokes. Oh well, nothing that another 60 years won't fix.
Today I will be doing my washing and generally tidying the place up. It stays cleaner when I'm not home, hmmnn......no matter. I totally love being domestic. I'd make a great housewife, I'd need to learn how to cook tho, and how to keep plants alive. Hmmnn.... maybe I'd better keep my day job, just for a little while longer.
This afternoon I'm going to go for a swim, followed by a dance class, then topped off with friday night jazz in the city.
What a life!
