Ouch.... I hurt..... Do you want to know why?

Oh my God, I want to die. I can not move a muscle at all today.

After a period of about 20 years, I went and played two games of softball back to back yesterday.

Oooooowwwwwccccchhhhhh........

It was fun though.

Once I eventually found the park where I was supposed to be, I had to roam the park to try to find my team. This was a liitle hard cos the area I was looking consisted of about four football ovals and over 20 softball diamonds. After about 20 minutes of aimless wandering, I found my team.

After a quick introduction, I was informed that I was playing second base. SECOND BASE!!!! Damn...... I was hoping for left field, somewhere way out in the boondocks......

Anyway, my first game was quite successful. I managed to show all my new team mates that I can not catch a ball, throw a ball, or know where to throw a ball during a critical play. I let one slip thru which let three runners get home..... shit shit shit shit shit.......

Well, at least I can't get any worse.....

Needless to say, at Tuesday afternoons practice session we will also be practicing my batting skill.

I'm so embarrassed........ sigh.......

Nicolles Wedding

What a shit storm that was!!!!

Anyway, the wedding was beautiful. If you want to know what the bride looked like, just go back to my previous posts and have a look at my wedding photos..... cos the bride wore exactly the same dress as me..... LOL!!!

But I wore it first and that is what is important........ Ha!

I had to stop my new husband from stumbling around in a drunken stupor and talking to the bride..... he was wanting to ask her where he had seen that dress before........ Ha!

It was a beautiful day. Beautiful bride, beautiful flowers, beautiful reception, lovely food, lovely weather, good friends, plenty of booze.......
did I mention it was a beautiful dress........ oh yeah, I did :)

Softball Practice

Did not do much today other than look for a softball glove prior to going to practice.

Did not find much......

I might to some research on the net.

Practice went well, even though I still can't field the ball..........

Hope I don't hurt as much as I did after last practice.

Sigh...

Minigolf anyone???

Yesterday was my old best friends Hens day. I say my old best friend cos I don't think we are best friends any more. Don't get me wrong...... it's just that we have kind of drifted apart a little in the last couple of years.

It was a little strange that I didn't actually receive an invitation to the hens day. Her wedding is this Friday, and having not heard anything about the arrangments for the hens night, I called her chief bridesmaid and demanded to know what was going on.

Bridesmaid mentioned that I was sent an invitation to the day. Hmmnn.... it never arrived.......
I will always wonder if I was ever actually on the invitation list, or if the bride and bridesmaid did a little backpeddelling to avoid hurt feelings.

Too late, my feelings are already hurt....

The brides sister also never received her invitation either.

Humph............

Anyway, it was a really nice afternoon. We played 18 holes of minigolf, had nibbles on the beach and afterwards went out for dinner.

Softball

I have finally gone and joined my local softball team. We had training last night.
I must say that I have pulled up a little sore today. I can feel muscles where I never thought I had muscles.

I managed to catch the ball (at least once), threw the ball (alot - and to the right person too) and I hit a few whoppers. Might have to work on that whole catching thing.....

Can't wait for our first game.

Today I got the whipper snipper out and attacked the garden - literally.
Currently looks like a tornado has come thru and destroyed everything.....

I did go to the shed to look at the lawn mower. But look is all I did, as alas, I am yet to have my first lesson on how to use the lawnmower..... sigh.....

It's official, I've become boring.....

Ok, it's official...... I have become boring!

I've been a little nostalgic tonight, avoiding my hot shower and warm bed (plus naked warm man) and instead have been going over my previous blogs.

Getting lost in a sandstorm, numerous lovers (ok, boyfriends - but lovers sounds so much more exciting), parties, general work shit...... god dammit - I even wrote about having a crap in my own loo..........

............. and that sounds way more exciting than what I've been doing in the past two months......

Shit...... it's time to get a life (back)...... ;)

I Recycle ...... now.....

Well hello there. I have just found out that my last entry was on 15th January 2007!

Today is the 28th of September 2009! Holy cow...... time flies when you are having fun.

To start me off again, I would like to tell you about my latest recycling adventure.

After two or so months of building up our collection of bottles and cans ( and fruit boxes and milk cartons), I decided that I would gather them all up and take them to my local neighbourhood recycling depot.

It was a drive thru!!!! I didn't even have to get out of my car!!!!

Would you like fries with that?

Oh, and by the way........ over the last two and a half years I have found a new partner, gotten married and bought my second house.......

Not bad eh!

Well, new job, new dog (a stray - Monkey is her name) 95 new people to look after, new wardrobe, new man, new year.
